Why is my sterling silver bracelet shows black gunk after I've used a cleaning product?
I started wearing this sterling silver bracelet (markings Italy 925) that I forgot I had. I decided to get a cleaning kit (Connoisseurs Dazzling Brilliance of the SS), but it looks worse than before I cleaned it. Black gunk seems to have stood between each link and reduce shine. All I did was to dip it and remove it. Is it fake? I clean it wrong?
I would like to make jewelry as my hobby ... and I spend a lot of sterling silver, what I found works best is baking powder just grab an old T-shirt and pour baking soda on it so rub your jewelry clean ... it works so well ... that's all I can use to clean sterling silver
