Beads Necklace
I'm trying to make a thin hemp necklace, so I can use very small beads with tiny holes, what technique?
Instead of using a base of two strings (flat weave) in the middle of the necklace that just fits through the large holes, is there an alternative stitch or technique to weave a thin hemp necklace, who will work with small hole beads?
I taught a hemp jewelry class, while employed at AC Moore. So I started driving a truck. To pass down time, I started making hemp jewelry to sell. Every time I visited a craft store I found natural stone counters with very small holes, which I would use in a necklace. I found a thin (2mm), hemp, dark brown, which would go well with stone. But I could string only stones on a beach. Still used four points, but when I came to a stone, I walked three of the wires behind the stone. I wish I had taken a picture, but I gave it to my daughter-in-laIw. I can tell you though that it turned out great and I plan to do more.
