Is it ok to wear a sterling silver nose stud in a newly pierced nose?

Ok. I just got my nose pressed last night. I have a small sterling silver stud in it right now. Well, I got online this morning to read about finishing it, when I read that "never use a silver stud during the healing process ". I'm not allergic to silver, which I know and I know I'm not supposed to take it out to either change it, so someone please help! I am afraid that something will go wrong! Thank you all for everything you answers! My 16 years. old cousin was "pierced" so that explains why I had a silver one in the first place ... and explains how stupid I = / But now I have a stainless steel screw in, and my nose is fine =] Thanks again to all for all your help! <3 <

it is your first piercing? when I got my ears pierced, they would not let me get some sterling silver. but if you have pierced before, so ss is fine. You can also go to the place where you got pierced and ask them
